RF Engineers – Telecom Infrastructure Rollout (West Africa)

Vinetrust Networks & Engineering Ltd is seeking to hire an experienced RF Engineers to support multi-country radio network planning, optimization, and field deployment activities across West Africa. You will work as part of a 4–5-person engineering team delivering end-to-end telecom infrastructure projects including RAN, MW, tower, power, fiber, and turnkey site builds.

Key Responsibilities

RF Planning, Optimization & Field Engineering

  • Perform RF planning, nominal design, and coverage/capacity analysis for 2G/3G/4G/5G networks.
  • Conduct drive tests, walk tests, and post-processing using industry tools (TEMS, NEMO, Atoll, Actix).
  • Analyze KPIs, troubleshoot RF issues, and recommend optimization actions.
  • Support RAN integration teams during new site rollout, swap, and modernization activities.
  • Validate antenna configurations, tilt settings, azimuth, and power levels.

Multi-Domain Infrastructure Support

Contribute to delivery across all Vinetrust service domains, including:

  • Turnkey Telecom Site Build (site readiness, equipment installation, acceptance).
  • RF & Microwave Installations (antenna systems, feeders, combiners, MW links).
  • Site Inspection & Technical Audits for RF and RAN performance.
  • Grounding & Earthing Remediation to ensure RF and electrical compliance. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with RAN, MW, Core, Rigging, and EHS teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Support integration, acceptance testing, and network performance validation.
  • Prepare RF reports, optimization logs, and technical documentation.

Travel & Deployment

  • Travel across West Africa for RF surveys, optimization activities, and rollout support.
  • Work in diverse environments including urban, rural, and remote project sites.
Requirements
  • 3–10 years of experience in RF planning, optimization, and field engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Ericsson RAN technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G).
  • Proficiency with RF tools: Atoll, TEMS, NEMO, Actix, MapInfo.
  • Experience with antenna systems, MW links, and site installation workflows.
  • Ability to work across RF, RAN, MW, power, and fiber domains.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across West Africa.
  • Certifications in RF Safety, WAH, or related fields (an advantage).

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with multi-vendor networks (Ericsson, Huawei, Nokia).
  • Background in turnkey site build, power systems, and fiber deployments.
  • Familiarity with West African telecom environments and operator standards.
