Vinetrust Networks & Engineering Ltd is seeking to hire experienced Drive Test Engineers to support multi-country RF performance measurement, optimization, and field verification activities across West Africa. You will work as part of a 4–5-person engineering team delivering end-to-end telecom infrastructure projects including RAN, RF, MW, power systems, fiber, and turnkey site builds.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Test & RF Data Collection
- Conduct drive tests, walk tests, and indoor/outdoor RF measurements using tools such as TEMS, NEMO, or similar.
- Collect data for 2G/3G/4G/5G networks to evaluate coverage, quality, throughput, and mobility performance.
- Perform cluster drive tests, single-site verification (SSV), and multi-site verification (MSV).
- Validate new site integrations, swaps, modernizations, and optimization activities.
- Ensure accurate logging of events, call flows, handovers, and KPI behaviors.
Post-Processing & Optimization Support
- Analyze RF logs using Actix, TEMS Discovery, NEMO Analyzer, or similar tools.
- Identify issues such as call drops, low throughput, poor coverage, interference, and handover failures.
- Recommend optimization actions to improve network KPIs and user experience.
- Prepare detailed drive test reports, cluster summaries, and performance dashboards.
Multi-Domain Infrastructure Support
Support delivery across all Vinetrust service domains, including:
- Turnkey Telecom Site Build (site readiness, equipment installation, acceptance).
- RF & Microwave Installations (antenna systems, feeders, MW links).
- Tower Construction & Site Retrofit (greenfield, rooftop, IBS).
- Hybrid & Solar Power System Installations for energy-efficient sites.
- Managed Services – Active, Passive & Fibre Networks.
- Site Inspection & Technical Audits for RF and RAN performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with RF Engineers, RAN Engineers, MW Engineers, and Project Managers.
- Support integration teams during site activation and acceptance testing.
- Coordinate with EHS teams to ensure safe field operations.
Travel & Deployment
- Travel extensively across West Africa for drive test campaigns, optimization activities, and rollout support.
- Work in diverse environments including urban, rural, and remote project sites.
Requirements
- 2–8 years of experience in drive testing and RF performance analysis.
- Proficiency with drive test tools (TEMS, NEMO, G-NetTrack, etc.) and post-processing tools (Actix, TEMS Discovery, NEMO Analyzer).
- Strong understanding of RAN technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G).
- Ability to work across RF, RAN, MW, power, and fiber domains.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate drive test vehicles.
- Willingness to travel extensively across West Africa.
- Certifications in RF Safety, WAH, or related fields (an advantage).
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Ericsson technologies (highly preferred).
- Multi-vendor exposure (Huawei, Nokia, ZTE).
- Experience with cluster optimization and KPI improvement programs.
- Familiarity with West African telecom environments and operator standards.
